China against Taiwan

One of the coming Australian Open 2007 Women Doubles’ semi-finals will be:

Yung-Jan Chan TPE

Chia-Jung Chuang TPE

vs.

Zi Yan CHN (2)

Jie Zheng CHN (2)

I bet Yan and Zheng will win. For sure, Chinese will play in the Women Doubles again this year. It will be an interesting scene to see how the Taiwanese and Chinese fans support their “country” fellows in Melbourne Park…

Australian Open 2007

Improvement has been witnessed from many tennis players this during the first week of Australian Open 2007 in Melbourne Park. Most of the Chinese ladies continue to advance to the third round. Li Na will have a tough match against Martina Hingis in the fourth round on Jan 22.

Zheng Ji & Yan Zi may meet Sun Shengnan & Sun Tiantian Sun in the quarter-final in the Women’s Doubles.

The most impressive match I saw so far is the one Marat Safin against Andy Roddick on Jan 19. Safin played well but Roddick performed even better. His backhand slice ran so low and deep that it makes any aggressive return especially top spin very difficult. Obviously, Jimmy Connors, the coach of Roddick, has a role to play to his improvement this year.

Oh, boy. The China equity market is just too hot to handle. Any wishful thinking can push the market to a higher level:
